User Interface Design

This solo project was my senior thesis and is a dating service paired with a wearable device that focuses on an intention-based approach to modern dating.

By offering a distinctly branded wearable device, this takes the guesswork and huge first hurdle out of wondering if someone you fancy on the street may or may not be already taken.

Problem statement: Modern dating sucks.

Although fast and convenient, dating apps have prioritized quantity (connecting to lots of people quickly and seeing what sticks) over quality (having new, meaningful matches that make sense).

As a result, this has created more problems for users as they face decision fatigue from the endless options, and more that I explored next.

Quality > quantity. Having matches that make sense.

Prioritize Meeting in Person

The ultimate goal is to allow users to interact off-screen as soon as they feel comfortable.
